Stage I of the ProMedic Program:
As we mentioned before, the program aims to develop the skills of senior medical students and junior doctors and to support their training in areas that we believe are essential in the healthcare sector. These skills include the following:
- Presentation Skills – The aim of these sessions is to help participants learn the basics of PowerPoint presentation by teaching them how to put together a slide show, as well as to develop their presentation skills so that they are able to present research findings, conference papers, new innovations and public data.
- Case-based Workshops – This section of the program will be focusing on the importance of certain skills, which are most needed when working within a team. Such skills include Teamwork, Deduction skills and Problem solving, Leadership Skills and Social Skills. The ultimate goal of this part of the program is to ensure all doctors/students who are taking part in this program are able to function well within a team, and also to ensure they are capable of working together to achieve a common goal.
- Modern Learning Methods – This last section aims to teach the participants how to Incorporate modern technology and programs (such as computer programs, smart phone apps and specific websites) into their day-to-day life in order to enhance their sense of creativity and efficiency, as well as to aid their life in the medical field by facilitating their learning and helping their personal and career development.
As always, our ultimate goal here at Cases 101 is to help the youth in the medical field to achieve their potential and be the best physicians they aspire to be. Through the ProMedic Program, we aim to tutor and guide all participants to improve their personal and professional skills so that we can eventually contribute to the development and the improvement of the healthcare system in our country. We believe that the change starts from within and it should begin with the individual, therefore, our goal is to rise with each individual and help them achieve their potential, which will yield a confident, competent and professional generation that is capable, safely, of taking care of our beloved public.
